Last week I went to Thailand to wait for the AWS Bangkok summit. It was energy and an exciting event. We have hosted a developer lounge where developers can meet, discussion ideas, enjoy Lightning Talks, win a magnifying glass on AWS Builder ID prize Wheel, take a challenge at Amazon Q Developer Coding Challenge, or learn generative AI at Amazon learning.
Here’s a quick look:
Thank you to AWS HEROES, AWS Community Builders, AWS User Group and developers for your cooperation.
Cuming Up Next in ASEAN is AWS Summit Singapore – make sure it doesn’t let you register now.
Start of Last Week
Here are a few launches last week that captivated me:
- Amazon Nova Premier now generally Avairable – Amazon Nova Premier, our most capable model for comprehensive tasks and a model for distillation of the model is now available in Amazon Bedrock. It excels in complicated tasks that require a deep understanding of context and multi -stage planning, while processing text, images and videos with a length of 1 m. Thanks to the distillation of the Nova Premier and Amazon Bedrock you can create a highly capable, cost -effective and low -Lite version, Lite and Micro for your specific needs.
- Amazon Q developer increases IDE experience with a new agency coding experience – this new interactive and agent coding for Visual Studio allows developers Q to intelligently take steps on behalf of the developer. Amazon Q Developer is an interactive coding experience in the Visual Studio code and offers real -time cooperation for coding, documentation and testing. It provides transparent thinking and supports automated or step by step in multiple languages.
- New Endowment Models in Amazon Bedrock – Amazon Bedrock expands its model offers with two important accessories:
- The Palmyra X5 and X4 writers have extensive context windows (1m and 128k tokens) and excel in complicated consumption for business applications. They support multi -stage tool calls and adaptive thinking with high standards of commitment.
- The Meta’s Llama 4 Scout 17B and Maverick 17B offer native multimodal capabilities using the architecture of experts for increased thinking and understanding of the image. They support multiple languages and widespread context processing, with simplified integration through the Converse API.
- The second -generation AWS base is issued – The AWS announces the general availability of the second generation foundations with meaningful improvements, including the latest X86 EC2 instances, simplified networks and accelerated network creation options. These improvements provide doubling the width of the PCP, memory and network bands, 40% better performance and support for workload with ultra-low latency, which makes them ideal for the desired on-premise.
- Amazon Cloudfront Saas Manager Start – Amazon Cloudfront Saas Manager helps SaaS providers and web hosting platforms effectively manage content delivery across several customers domains. The service dramatically reduces the operating complexity and provides the provision of high -performance content and security of the company for each customer’s domain.
- Amazon Aurora now PostgreSQL supports 17-amazon Aurora now PostgreSQL supports 17.4, offers community enhancements and aurora-specific enhancements such as optimized memory management and faster failure. The release included new features for Babelfish, fixed security and updated extensions available in all AWS regions.
- Cloudwatch represents graded prices for Lambda Logs – Amazon Cloudwatch launches graded prices for AWS Lambda and new delivery destinations. US EAST prices start at $ 0.50/GB for Cloudwatch and $ 0.25/GB for S3 and Firehose, both of which are $ 0.05/GB. This update increases flexibility in protocol management in all support regions.
- RDS for MySQL Updates Smaller version – Amazon RDS for MySQL now supports a smaller version 8.0.42 and 8.4.5, which provides fixed security, bug fixes and performance improvements. Users can automatically upgrade or use blue/green deployment for safer updates during maintenance windows.
- In general, distillation of the Amazon model is available – Distillation of the Amazon Bedrock is now generally available and supports new models like Amazon Nova and Claude 3.5. Smaller models for precise predicting the function calling function brings up to 500% of fast rates and 75% lower costs with minimal accuracy loss for rag use boxes. The service includes automated working procedures for data synthesis and student training.
- AI Search Flow Builder for Amazon OpenSearch Service – Amazon OpenSsearch Service now offers AI to search for openssearch 2.19+ domains.
